 On the evening of October 1, 2010, the SFBC will host the Pink Diamond Affair, a semi-formal soiree honoring authors of African-American literature and celebrating all event attendees and participants. The evening will consist of a dinner, a keynote address, an awards ceremony, entertainment, and more. Come be inspired and empowered at the African-American Literary Festival's first event of the weekend! The PDA will be held at the Columbia Conference Center from 7-10pm. Seating is limited.

African-American Literary Festival

Nationwide – October 1-2, 2010 – The SistahFriend Book Club, a national non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of literacy and empowerment, will host South Carolina’s first African-American Literary Festival. The AALF is a FREE community event for families, featuring youth activities for all ages, literary and commercial vendors, fitness and health information, and forums and book signings from local and national authors, including New York Times bestsellers. A reception, the Pink Diamond Affair, will be held on the evening of October 1st to honor sponsors and special guests.
